talking about concrete abstractions.... BK needs:
a) in 2009 skinny students with tiny asses to occupy 1/2 a chair for their graduation "studio" (one day per week, let the skinny idiots share or fight over the Vitra's). In 2010 BK needs even skinnier students with NO asses to occupy 1/4 of a chair. In 2011 BK needs invisible students working online from home (ever heard of "e-learning"?)
AND all this to buy the really expensive "chairs"
b) STARCHITECTS with multimillion extendable contracts with NO academic experience and a peanut for a brain to occupy "THE" chairs of the Faculty.
when I went to university in the 90s the last thing on our minds were chairs - they were crummy and old, but sufficient and ours. Our minds were on our projects, not in our buts.
